Jennifer Bascom is an actress with ComedySportz LA’s main stage company. She has appeared on television programs including True Beauty, World Cup Comedy, The Bachelor (as an improv instructor), Home Matters, Jimmy Kimmel, Attack of the Show, People A-Z, and the pilot episode for the web series Little Women, Big Cars. Jennifer toured with Second City Theatricals for Norwegian Cruise Line and has performed at numer- ous improv stages around the country. She has also appeared with Rhode Island Shakespeare and was in the original cast of the off-Broadway production of Our Life and Times Review. Jennifer has appeared in numerous commercials. It is very likely she has been seen in your living room. Spooky.


Gale hails from the Bay Area where she studied theatre and attended academy classes at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco. She wrote and performed with the sketch/improv group Mumblypeg, performing at The Big Stinkin’ Improv Festival in Austin and the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal. Gale also wrote and performed in Older Girls Gone Reasonably Wild with Company Comedy Company and hosted a national tour of Nickelodeon Live’s Game Lab. She recently appeared in Shakespeare Santa Barbara’s summer stock production of As You Like It. Gale also performs improv at Universal Studios and Disney where she also teaches in the Disney Performing Arts Program.


Jennifer is originally from Wisconsin where she started im-provising professionally with ComedySportz in 1997. She makes her living improvising and teaching improvisation in Los angeles, acting in plays and on television, doing stand up and more…and loves every minute of it. Jennifer can frequently be seen at Theatre of N.O.T.E, where she has also served as producer of numerous productions.


Kelly feels lucky to be able to perform with the ladies of Chickspeare since they are some of her favorite people! Kelly is the co-writer of, and portrays “Pippin” in, the critically acclaimed play FELLOWSHIP! The Musical Parody Of The Lord Of The Rings. She currently has a play running in Hollywood that she co-wrote, The Real Drunk Housewives of San Fernando Valley. On television, her acting credits include Fargo, Parks and Recreation, How I Met Your Mother, Gilmore Girls, Pepper Dennis, The Bold And The Beautiful, Ask Rita and World Cup Comedy to name a few. She also co–starred with Rita Rudner in the film Thanks and can be seen in numerous commercials.


You may have seen her mug on television in MADtv (regular cast member, season 14), True Blood, Imagination Movers, The Sarah Silverman Program, Girlfriends, World Cup Comedy, Strong Medi- cine, Acceptable.TV and numerous commercials. Lauren has worked with many improvisational theatres across the country, but has made ComedySportz her home since 2002, where she teaches, directs the Sunday Team and appears in numerous pro- ductions, including The Made-Up Game Show with Wayne Brady and Jonathan Mangum. Lauren is also proud to host the annual New Year’s Eve countdown from the Castle at Disneyland.


Paige has known she wanted to be an actor since the age of four, after finding out the Ninja Turtles had no openings. In high school she found Comedysportz and fell in love with im- prov! After graduating from Academy of Art University with a BFA in Motion Pictures and Television, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting professionally. In 2010, she joined Comedysportz, and Paige could not be more proud of being part of such an amazing company!


Silvie studied acting at Oxford School of Drama and South Coast Repertory, and voice with Robert Edwards. Favorite roles include Helena Landless in The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Mary Poppins in the Practically Perfect Tea at Disneyland, and spontaneous roles in Chickspeare and the improvised musical U-sical at the ComedySportz Theatre. She also does voiceovers and sings backing vocals for the Linda Ronstadt tribute band Blue Bayou.



James is Artistic Director of the National Comedy Theatre and ComedySportz Los Angeles, the longest running show in Los Angeles history, now in its 25th year. In addition to ComedySportz, he has been an active producer in the Hollywood theatre scene, having produced more than fifty shows, including many west coast and world premieres. His productions have won numerous awards, including Best Production from the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle. James is very involved in theatre education advocacy and recently received the CETA Medallion from the California Educational Theatre Association (highest honor for educational theatre in California) and was inducted into the California Thespians Hall of Fame. James also serves as a Cultural Specialist for the U.S. State Department and regularly teaches for the American embassy and Ministry of Culture on the island nation of Cyprus. He is also proud to serve as the Director of Theatre for Justin-Siena High School in Napa.
